Posted: March 12th, 2010 | Author: zackpow | Filed under: 22 Magnum Rifles | Tags: , , , , , , , , |

I really should just stop buying, but I found this at a gun show for a good price. .22 caliber RWS 350. I haven’t shot it yet either. I need another gun like I need a hole in my head.

thanks. i dont think I wanna spend 200 smackers on a pump to shoot a $500 pellet gun. I may just go w/ a RWS34 and be done w/ it. thanks for your input

    Or get a PCP airgun

a tune cost around $200 right? after paying $400 for a pellet gun you wouldnt think it’d need a tune up. maybe i’ll just try to go w/ a gas ram from somewhere

I don’t care much for factory rebuilds as they are still inferior to a good tune..where the parts are tighter fit..resulting in a much smoother firing cycle and enjoyment.

  12. 12 filoIII said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

who knows how good of a job the factory will do. I’m waiting for more info, such as if there’s a warranty or not. i feel like it’s a crap shoot. we’ll see. thx

  13. 13 varmintgetter said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

why not? usually this is a good thing when they replace the seals…the most worn out part of the gun

  14. 14 filoIII said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

refurbished should i chance it? thx

  15. 15 varmintgetter said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

No..the 460 front sight is plastic..and holds the cocking lever also.

  16. 16 varmintgetter said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

Both are good priced. Seriously..they are good priced.

  17. 17 varmintgetter said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

barrel droop is basically if you draw a straight line from the center of main compression tube to the end of the barrel and that line drops downward..then the barrel drooped. Often because the lock up mechanism latch weakens or worn out. So for me I do my best not to slam the barrel up hard..use lube to the pivot points to minimize barrel wear

  18. 18 filoIII said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

is it possible to replace the front site on the 460 w/ a globe hooded sight like on the 350?

  19. 19 filoIII said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

    i may have found a 350 combo for $255 and a 460 combo for $360. That’s still a chunk of change

  20. 20 filoIII said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

    thanks. what is barrel droop?

  21. 21 varmintgetter said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

I prefer the 460 much more…it’s more accurate for me to shoot. But it’s slower to load. If you get one of the 460 for $300..get it…and I like it in .22

  22. 22 filoIII said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

do you like your 350 or 460 better? this will be my first springer. I’m leery about breakbarrels. what is barrel droop? i may just roll w/ teh 34 and call it good. i’m leaning more towards the 460 cause of underlever cocking. but the cost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if a person finds a 460 under $300 u suggest jumping on it hey? what if there’s no warranty? i’ve been researching this stuff for a month and getting tired of it. just gonna buy something in .22 for sure. thanks 4 the help

  23. 23 varmintgetter said at 7:54 pm on March 12th, 2010:

I had a suspicion it is a little under powered. I’ll check that breech seal if there is a leak.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t really focused much on this 350 yet as I really didn’t spend the time to really sort it out….apparently I just have too many.

I will get to it and see what else can be done. I like the look and feel of this gun and the cocking is sure easiest of all the super springers.

Your 350 should be faster than 750fps with 16gr JSB’s. I can see maybe w/16.5gr Predators. My 350 did 795-805fps with the JSB Jumbos 16gr (23.5fpe) & 780fps with 16.5gr JSB Preds. It probably needs to have the breach seal shimmed. Some Dianas have that problem. My new de-tuned 350 avgs 785fps with JSB 16gr Jumbo Exacts. So yours is a little underpowered but if it’s accurate and shoots well, don’t worry. These Diana Magnums really need a good lube tune to take away twang and smooth them out.

it translated “A Th brackets then put the baby? ”

    I don’t know what you are referring to. (? ?? ????, ??? ?? ???????? ?)
