@kt791266 We have a? Tracker 627 Tracker Competition Pro .357 six incher in the shop.
Blew the barrel clean off the frame after just a few boxes of .38 range ammo.
If you look at the barrel thickness where it screws into the frame, you’ll see what I mean. It’s paper thin. Look on Youtube for “taurus barrel blows off”; that’s exactly what happened to us.
Hey Jeff,
do? you know if they have (or will have) a 4″ barrel version?
Thanks for posting this video, but was really impressed with your choice of music. That was some beautiful sounding guitar.?
@RugerTwentyTwo Those grips absorb a lot of energy. You’ll be able to shoot full .357 mags without much sensation? of recoil.
I have a Taurus 94 .22LR? revolver. This Tracker 992 looks like it’s higher quality. At 3 lbs/6 in barrel, definitely not a CCW but might be a good bedside gun with the .22mag cylinder.
i like the concept, and am fond of .22 mag. But taurus’ quality control left a bad taste? in my mouth a few months back. Couldnt bring myself to buy another. Nice hat by the way jeff!
Also, the factory grips are dirt magnets. Not so easy to get it all out, and I’m no fan of having my firearms looking dirty. Hogue makes a very, very nice replacement pair, that can be bought on Amazon for only $16.99.?
I got a Taurus Tracker .357 magnum for Christmas. It was used, and I’ve heard bad things about Taurus, but it really is a nice gun. Really fun to shoot, I’ve only put a box of .38 through it, but I didn’t have any trouble. Will be going to see? if I can take a hog with it soon.
@TheHiddenPart what are you talking? about?
I’ve wanted? one of these guns since I saw it on the cover of the NRA-ILA American Riflemen magazine. Beautiful gun.
happy new? year
nice vids like always
@TheLTDANTN Yes it is and its on the front page of the web site upper right? hand corner
Very nice gun. Do I have any exp with the charter arms? 22mag rev.
Is that an? 1911 mag release assembly on the cylinder yoke release?
Also, does it shoot barrels off too? In complete Taurus tradition, you know..
Love the video great intro music and great shooting and Happy New? Year!
Jeff, who’s got it better then you?
Hope you, your brothers? and family’s enjoy the holidays! HNY!
Super nice! I want one!? Nice video!
Cool looking gun?
Looks to work great. I would get the one with a slightly shorter barrel, but I feel it is way to heavy for what? it is chambered in. It would be a great set up for hiking if it was lighter.
Never owned a Taurus, but you? got my attention. Thank you sir and have a wonderful New Year.
wow,? i think ill reconsider over the mkIII
Current MSRP is? $619 in stainless, $572 in blue.
They are showing the blued 992, but not the stainless that I could find.
jeff
?
It is more versatile than those autos,? because it can shot the 22 magnum cartridge.
Jeff
@paikmendez Because he likes them. Jeff also has a sweet cannon from that? era as well. Because he likes them. You can ask, him nut I guarantee that will be his answer.
