Here’s my AMT Automag II in .22 Win Mag Jamming up again. After about 20 rounds, it will jam, and the pistol must be torn down and cleaned. The dimples which are machined into the breech were designed to hold onto the casing longer while the propellant is ignited. AMT went out of business several years ago (go figure), and there is no customer support for this pistol.
I, Nick, use my Marlin Model 983 .22 magnum, and Joey uses his Savage Mark I .22 long rifle against basic dollar store products to see which gun creates the most damage as well as providing the best bullet expansion.I forgot to put in the clip in of what the shaving cream can looked like after it got shot with the .22 Magnum, but it looked just like the can of peaches after it got shot.
This is my Marlin Model 983 chambered in .22 Magnum with a 13 round tubular magazine and a 22″ Microgroove barrel. All shots at 15 yards (same impact velocity as in this video). 5 shot mean: 1831 fps #1: 1811 fps #2: 1863 fps #3: 1832 fps #4: 1826 fps #5: 1823 fps
