Shooting Rugers new SR22 Pistol, this gun would be a good buy at twice the price. During this range session we put two bricks of the cheapest Federal ammo we could find through it and had only one FTE! One out of 1000! This little brother to the Ruger P95 is the perfect training pistol. The target at the end of the video was the best group of the night, 5 of the 10 shots went through one hole!

Glock 23 - The Evil Plastic Gun

My first Glock and some personal history. It may very well be a great combat handgun but I can only speculate about that. I do not plan to use it to fight muppets, fraggles, Russian troops, terrorists, or people trying to steal my can of Pork & Beans. I only use it to shoot at targets and will probably do what I normally do, which is use it for a while, then sell or trade it off for something else that I want. So far I really like this firearm.

Zastava Z5: Old School Mini .22

Little .22 bolt action guns are a riot. They’re fun and engaging recreational shooting options for everyone. In some ways theyre easier and less intimidating instructional tools for kids, some female, or new shooters. The Serbian-made Zastava Z5 Youth gun is just such a rifle. Formerly imported by Charles Daley, Interarms, and then marketed by Remington Model Five (version shown and discussed here), this little .22 bolt gun fun and fast. Bolt lift is only 60º and the action is smooth. Trigger out of the box is a bit stagey buy as shown can be easily improved using factory adjustment screws. Current versions wear a press checkered laminated stock but other hardwood versions, like this one, have been issued. This stock is diminuitive for the smaller shooter and features 12 3/8″ length of pull (vs 13 3/8″ for adult Z5 model). Weighing only 5 ½ lbs (6 lbs with laminated stocks), the Rem Five/Z5 is quick into action and won’t weigh down the new shooter (as long as you dont mount a heavy optic!). The bluing in this model is superb: high gloss and smooth. The Z5 comes with a 5 round magazine with is a bit thumb busting but ruggedly built. These magazines are not readily available but currently can be had from USSG Inc directly for around . Having more with make your shooting sessions a bit funner. But the Z5 can also function as a single shot with the included single shot adaptor (may be optional on some models), thus teaching the new shooter ammunition conservation and

overview of my gun collection PT1: pistols

Posted: January 7th, 2012 | Author: zackpow | Filed under: 22 Magnum Pistol | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | 7 Comments »

a quick overview of my pistols! hope yall’ enjoy it! i apologize for being all slow in the video, i didn’t sleep last night at all. stayed up doing cool stuff. my personal favorite is my NAA Super companion. it is fantastic with that rear sight, and you can load it with Bull’seye smokeless powder. that will bump you up to .32 ACP ballistics. you can load your standard 30 grain conical bullets in it, you can shoot airgun pellets with percussion caps, you can even shoot shot out of it. my favorite load is 7 grains of Triple Seven that’s real compacted, underneath a plated copper hollow point pulled from some cheap 550 Federal .22 ammo. best part is you get just enough powder to shoot the .22 LR companion. the cylinder pin hasn’t bent from my use of powders. it’s just great! i really like the NAA blackpowder revolvers!

22 Magnum Ballistics Test (Remington Polymer Tip)

Posted: December 29th, 2011 | Author: zackpow | Filed under: 22 Magnum Pistol | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | 17 Comments »

This is probably a good *Rifle* round. I used a pistol, so it did not fragment as intended due to the lower velocities. It did exhibit cavitation and disruption at about 4 inches depth, and i assume the bullets started to tumble or yaw or spin or something after the polymer tips got blown out.
