22 CALIBER AIR RIFLE PELLET TEST ~ THE 4 MOST COMMON DESIGNS….. Pointed, round nose, flat nose and hollow point pellets being tested on some nopalito, aka cactus… As the video shows the hollow point pellet expands allot more than the other three, creating a rather large wound channel through the cactus… Unless the game is rather large, most pellets will over penetrate but not the hollow points… They dump the air rifle/pellet energy allot faster than the other 3 kinds and that is why they are so efficient and taking down small game… Thanks for watching… bigtomscience

09/24/2011 Last weekend, while “Slightly Buggy” was busy uploading, I was busy shooting several different guns at a shooting range in Talkeetna, Alaska :D — There may be more video from the excursion, as I have a LOT of footage.. But they’ll go up in due time. All of the weapons seen in this video are owned by my dad… So I don’t know specifically what all of them are… But I do know which two were my favorites, and what they are, hehe. Weapons, in order shown: — .22 revolver, shooting .22 magnum loads — Ruger 10/22 semi-auto rifle with variable scope -A definite favorite :D — Colt .45 semi-auto pistol — Pump-action .22 rifle (passed down to my dad in the 1960’s, very cool gun) — Colt .45 again, check out the muzzle flash! — Ruger MKII .22 semi-auto pistol -My other favorite :D Syncing the audio to the video which had no previous audio? Not easy… lol. This video was shot September 18, 2011. Want to get to know me more outside of Youtube? Then feel free to visit my site! www.AK49BWL.com

Shooting Fun & Practice - Shotguns, Rifles, & Pistols - Oh My! November 2009

Posted: September 13th, 2010 | Author: zackpow | Filed under: 22 Magnum Rifles | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , | 1 Comment »

So I got a new Remington M887 NitroMag Shotgun last November & felt like taking it out for shooting some clays… The night before I met a bunch of friends for coffee and we just decided to all get our guns together, take them out to a safe spot for some practice - and great memories too. I had the new shotgun for most of the trip… but, of course, brought out my Ruger 10/22 stainless “tacti-cool” project gun. My cousin had his custom .308 Winchester (customized before he got it with a heavy stock, Mauser bolt/receiver, muzzle break, etc.) that he finally got to shoot here. There’s an AR-15 in .223, my Dad with his pump-action .22LR (don’t remember the brand…), a French-made 20-gauge my buddy Wayne brought out, Don’s Remington 1100 12-gauge, and a short-barreled .450 (carbine I think… but will check that) as well… We also had a couple of semi-automatic pistols as well in the middle there for quite a variety. It has been too long since I shot clays and the “Wal-Mart” launcher proved excellent for one clay at a time (not two though…). Once I re-learned how to lead them enough, the Remington M887 proved to be smooth (brand new!), accurate, and I love that ArmorLokt coating. Overall a great, though randomly windy, day! (We were in Wyoming after all, so go figure on the wind…)
