I had the new shotgun for most of the trip… but, of course, brought out my Ruger 10/22 stainless “tacti-cool” project gun. My cousin had his custom .308 Winchester (customized before he got it with a heavy stock, Mauser bolt/receiver, muzzle break, etc.) that he finally got to shoot here. There’s an AR-15 in .223, my Dad with his pump-action .22LR (don’t remember the brand…), a French-made 20-gauge my buddy Wayne brought out, Don’s Remington 1100 12-gauge, and a short-barreled .450 (carbine I think… but will check that) as well… We also had a couple of semi-automatic pistols as well in the middle there for quite a variety. It has been too long since I shot clays and the “Wal-Mart” launcher proved excellent for one clay at a time (not two though…). Once I re-learned how to lead them enough, the Remington M887 proved to be smooth (brand new!), accurate, and I love that ArmorLokt coating. Overall a great, though randomly windy, day! (We were in Wyoming after all, so go figure on the wind…)
