I made this video to find out what’s the best pellet for shooting apples. The Beeman Crow-magnum and wadcutter pellets seem to do the most damage. Round nose pellets appeared to deliver the least amount of carnage.
www.pyramydair.com So my first experience with Crosman (Benjamin’s) new super magnum gas ram powerhouse started out rocky, but ended like a dream. Well over 900 FPS with lead pellets and 800 fps with moderately heavy lead pellets. Shooting tight groups will take a lot of practice and patience. The trigger system needs a lot of work, and the recoil, while better than a metal spring, is still very severe and require excellent technique to shoot well. But… if you can get it all to work together, you can deliver a lot of energy on target. Good rifle that could be better. Let’s all encourage Crosman to BUILD A BETTER TRIGGER!!!.
I purchased lots of different pellets to see which performs best from my Walther Talon Magnum. Here are the results: 1) Crosman Pointed - .249″ 2) RWS Superpoint Extra - .249″ 3) Beeman Kodiak Extra Heavy - .343″ 4) Predator Polymag - .343″ 5) Beeman FTS Double Gold - .375″ 6) Beeman Crow-Magnum - .405″ 7) Crosman Premier Hollow Point - .436″ JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy - .468″ 9) EUNJIN 28.4 gr - .468″ 10) JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo RS - .499″ 11) H&N Silver Point - .499″ 12) JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo Monster - .656″ 13) Beeman H&N Match Wadcutter - .718″ 14) H&N Rabbit Magnum II - .874″ 15) Beeman Laser - 1.468″ 16) Skenco Hyper-velocity Field Pellets - 1.780 This test was performed in my garage at 10 meters with my .22 caliber Walther Talon Magnum air rifle. The optic mounted on the rifle is a Centerpoint Adventure Class 4-16×40mm. The parallax adjustment was set to just over 10 yards. The results of this test will vary greatly on different makes of air rifles, so I encourage you to perform your own accuracy tests.
