Review of my Anschutz 1517 rifle. I have just found out that a thumbhole stock is now available for this gun so expect a review of that soon - depending on price. This is the gun I use for the majority of my rabbit and rat shooting and whilst nowhere near as cheap as using a .22, I much prefer the .17HMR as the extra ‘whack’ from the supersonic ballistic tip rounds make for a more humane job. This is a video about my .22 cal Xisico XS-B28 magnum air rifle tuned by Mike Mellick from www.bestairgun.com Mike recrowned the muzzle, did a two angle cut & polished breech lead-in, polished the spring ends and did a lube tune + a trigger tune and polished the stock. Mike you did a great job !! This B28 is a Chinese copy of the Diana/RWS 350 magnum. I’ve been told that magnum air rifles are hard to shoot accurate, my tuned B28 performs very good, no problems at all.
I was out shooting and decided to do a little target work @ 100 yards. believe it or not, i actually only fired the six shots shown in the video at the target! I only missed the 12″ X 12″ target with one round. I was pleased but have a lot of improving to do. Please stay tuned for some 200 yard shooting with my same Ruger Super Redhawk ,44 Magnum (7.5″ barrel). Ammo is the stuff I outlined verbally in the video.
