09/24/2011 Last weekend, while “Slightly Buggy” was busy uploading, I was busy shooting several different guns at a shooting range in Talkeetna, Alaska — There may be more video from the excursion, as I have a LOT of footage.. But they’ll go up in due time. All of the weapons seen in this video are owned by my dad… So I don’t know specifically what all of them are… But I do know which two were my favorites, and what they are, hehe. Weapons, in order shown: — .22 revolver, shooting .22 magnum loads — Ruger 10/22 semi-auto rifle with variable scope -A definite favorite — Colt .45 semi-auto pistol — Pump-action .22 rifle (passed down to my dad in the 1960’s, very cool gun) — Colt .45 again, check out the muzzle flash! — Ruger MKII .22 semi-auto pistol -My other favorite Syncing the audio to the video which had no previous audio? Not easy… lol. This video was shot September 18, 2011. Want to get to know me more outside of Youtube? Then feel free to visit my site! www.AK49BWL.com
A quick glimpse into my September 2010 trip to the local gun club, where 2 friends and I shot a few of our various rifles and handguns. We shot a Ruger 10/22, Remington 22, Savage Arms 243, Ruger Mini-14 (223), Ruger LCR (38 revolver), Smith & Wesson Model 63 (22 revolver), and a Ruger SP101 (357 Magnum). I love going to the range! Second match using the Kar98k and still rusty… Some tips for the (un)scoped bolt-action rifles: 1. Keep your head cool and don’t panic. If you miss your shot, forget about it and just try again. 2. Avoid negative thoughts. Don’t think you have a disadvantage just because the enemy is using an SMG. If you keep thinking like “I’m not gonna make it, I’m getting killed” then most likely you will miss your target. Don’t forget: Your advantage is one shot one kill if you do it right! 3. Sometimes the best possible option is to run. 4. Play smart. It’s a bolt-action rifle and not an SMG. Don’t expect to clear out a room full SMGs. You will most likely have a supportive role in your team. 5. Make it as hard as possible for your enemy to kill you. Use obstacles (for example, tree, rock, wooden box etc.) to take cover. Don’t just stand there and shoot the guy, it’s best to be always on the move. A good technique is the shoot-prone/move-shoot technique. 6. Perhaps the most important tip: Practice. Your accuracy will improve over time, because you’re sort of ‘forced’ to aim at the upper chest area or head to get a one shot one kill. If many people are interested, I might make a guide to make my points more clearly. I think the enemy dogs are worse than enemy air support, because they can even kill you inside the buildings for example. The best thing to do is to avoid open areas and use your knife whenever you can (using your gun will attract (more) dogs). Class: Kar98k (with …
This match was really nice as I got to use two of my favorite sniper rifles at the same time. I enjoyed killing that MP40 guy, because I hate that gun. Class: PTRS-41 .357 Magnum Frag, Tabun Gas Bandolier Stopping Power Steady Aim Final score: 22-2-9
the weapons of the game. the weapons i didnt put in: bolt action rifles: Arisaka all bolt actions get the scope, bayonet, and rifle grenade attachments except for the PTRS. it comes with its own scope but no attachments are available for it. Rifles: Gewehr 43 M1A1 Carbine the rifles get a slew of different attachments depending on the one you pick. from aperature sights to rifle grenades, silencers, or bayonets. the only one that gets a sniper scope is the garand. theres a few in the class that will get the telescopic sight though. Sub-Machine Guns: Ppsh-41 the smgs get the silencer, apurature sight, and magazine or drum attachments. the trench gun gets a grip attachment or bayonet. the double barrel gets a grip or sawn-off option. Machine Guns: FG-42 most of the machine guns can get a bipod attachment. the type 99 can have a bayonet and i believe the fg-42 can get a telescopic sight. Pistols: Colt M1911 Nambu Wather P38 Tokarev TT-33 .357 Magnum no attachments for the pistols. Grenades: Frag N 74 ST Molotov the N 74 is a sticky/anti-tank grenade. it will stick to anything it lands on. even players. and itll explode within a second of it landing. Special Grenades: Smoke Tabun Gas Signal Flare the gas blurs and disorients the screen plus is slows movement and aiming. very annoying. the signal flares brightens the screen of anyone looking at it. think of it as a flash bang but in one constant spot.
Target end, obviously. Third shot was the miss (again, obviously). Note how you can’t tell where the shots are coming from other than hearing the supersonic crack of the projectile (which doesn’t give any direction away); if it were the next step up, like a .223, you’d hear a loud boom in the distance coming from the direction of the shooter’s location. Range is a give or take kinda deal, as it was only paced out. 4 of 5 hits (probably five hits if the tree wasn’t there) on a chest sized target at 200 meters is pretty good for a .22 Magnum (200 meters is a long way through a 4 power scope and a .22 Magnum rifle).
