Btw, you mentioned, .500 is too much. I think the same. Have you ever tried one ? (I have unfortunately not…) May? be .460, using .45 colt mostly.

A revolver is always a good choice, a? Smith and Wesson a excellent one. Like my .357, getting my .44 mid December.

I think you are using factory sights, ever thought of LPA sights? Think they are a superb improvement.

@lambdog76 - I use THE bullet for the 44 mag. The Elmer Keith designed 245 gr Linotype (#429421).? Powder charge is 20.5 gr of Alliant 2400 which yields around 1250 fps out of this 6-inch gun. According to ‘the book”, chamber pressure with this recipe should be about 37,000 CUP.

@sharkzf6 what load were you shooting? If hand load, you don’t have to dumb it down for me, weight grain, pressure would be fine.?

@TheDeadhead71 - Actually the second “face-on” series of shots was double action. I’ll do? a video explaining how to get the most out of your double action pulls…a trick I learned watching a Clint Smith video many moons ago ;)

cool video. The only way I’ll shoot a sixgun is single-action style just like you did. That 8″ steel is a glutton? for punishment.
