A night out doing my bit for the environment.shooting possum,rabbit & hare. .22 semi +.22 magnum + 12 gauge = 100 dead possums

    We don’t use a gun, mainly because we’re not experienced hunters, but we like to have a bit of fun and help the environment too, our dog especially. He hates possums, which is good. Because we live deep in the south we get snow in winter, which brings the possums down a bit lower. Then the action starts. We scare the possum onto a small tree, shake it down and the? dog owns it. There’s a hell of noise though from both our Sam and the possum though.

    this reminded me of the bird brained spca officer i saw on tv, putting a stop to people poisoning wallabies on waiheke? island… because it was “inhumane” . . . (using coumatetryl anticoagulant, rapid internal bleeding = dehydration = death,? besides a headache and getting sleepy, i cant forsee much pain there) . . . oh well back to shootin the f**kers ! :) :) :)

    @noochterror dude you are misguided, possums are not native to nz - they were introduced in error,? now they are destroying the bush and threatening the habitat of native species that live there (many are already extinct or borderline)
