Sako TRG-22 Sniper Rifle - Overview & Demo

Posted: September 4th, 2010 | Author: zackpow | Filed under: 22 Magnum Rifles | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |

This is an overview and demo vid of the Sako TRG-22 sniper rifle. A bolt-action rifle chambered in .308/7.62×51 NATO, this performance rifle delivers fantastic out-of-the-box performance in both competitive and tactical environments. Owners can expect sub-MOA accuracy @ 100 yards in factory configuration. Thanks to my Dad for doing a great job at his first video review, and letting us show off his new toy!

i am very jealous of that gun i love sakko products some of the best in the world but do you know why that gun has such a large trigger guard is it ment to be shot in the winter with gloves on or something

hey, I own a trg 42 also. I was wondering if you have taken the barrel/chamber off from the stock? if so, when you put it back , did you use a torque wrench? I did something pretty stupid. please e-mail me: maser127@hotmail.com

Thought I wanted one of these rifles….NOW I really want one of these rifles. Love the NightForce but I would have to stick some kinda German Optic on it so it will feel at home, in a MIL-MIL setup. Would look sick with a Hensodt, IOR.

If you can find a pre Garcia Sako from the early 1960’s you find thatit will shoottighter groups than your sniper rifle. The barrels were made in Finland at that time, and were made from some of th finest steel EVER produced. The quality is amazing.

@trioled, I believe his using a nightforce 3.5-15 x 50 or 56 NXS. The best of the best in military spec scopes and world class productions. Also at that power a perfect scope for a .308 round

If I were going to drop money on a nice bolt gun, I’d get a .338 Lapua Magnum - .308 and for that matter 7.62×51mm are dated rounds in this application.

did you have to make the bipod fit or just stick it in

Hi! what scope are you using?

  19. 19 tundraotto said at 7:54 pm on September 4th, 2010:

actually the rifle is guaranteed to do .5MOA or less. I think you need some more practice - ex. you dont have any follow thru - and you’re not driving the rifle at all…the setup is very nice though. Practice ….practice…practice….you should have .3″ 5 shot groups at a 100 - easy with that setup.

4,000.00 bucks plus for a .308 not including the scope. Sako make a great rifle but with the TRG 22 you are paying for a stock, nothing really different about the action. For the money the M75 is your best bet, I have one in 7mm Rem Mag and it is smooth. Browning has gone to shit unless we are talking shotgun, Remington has a winner with the 700&750, TC has put out some nice bolt actions, Ruger M77 is nice. Having owned and fired all of them the Sako is best bang for the buck.
