the ruger plant is like next door to the little gun shop thay must have some tipe of deal or somthing and no the gun is not a refurb it was brand new

believe it or not i got the gun at a gun shop for $400 its a little gun shop next to my house that sells rugers 50% off retail price it was brand new to. i know sweet deal right?

hi zboyco i have one of them it is a sweet gun i use it as my carry gun i love it but man you shoot the 454 cassul it fucking kicks. i found mine dirt cheap i only paid $400. and yes i think it does kick at least as much as a S&W 500 i shot my buddys 500 and it does not seem to kick as much as the alaskan.but man the alaskin is just a cool little gun and boy is it tuff
If u pistol whip someboby with that its pretty much over.
just a wee bit….shooting hornady red tips out of it. a better grip on the 2 guns i shot would have defninately helped.

yes, it was originally developed as a big game hunting round. until the smith and wesson 460 and 500 magnum, it was the most powerful commercial cartridge on the market
im trying to get the range officers to let me bring in a cinder block to use this gun on next time i go shooting
