Ruger Charger 10/22

Posted: March 9th, 2011 | Author: zackpow | Filed under: 22 Magnum Rifles | Tags: , , , , , , , , , |

After I mounted my new scope I had to rapid fire a few rounds. 25 rounds in a 8″ group @ 50 yards at rapid fire…. I love this little gun so far. I was happy with the group at a semi high rate of fire.

I hope the kids are in the house, not on the playground.

i have tried about all of them and with good ammo just about any of them work well but i refuse to pay for the high dollar stuff for just plinking around the house. a friend of mine had the ugly bullpup stock and i cut one of my eagle mags down for it to fit into his stick with out hitting the grip, works well just looks really bad..

Well wouldn’t you know it. After complaining about it I just tried 3 types of ammo in both a Steel Hot Lips and a cheapo Ramline. I used Federal, Winchester and Remington and NOT ONE JAM. It seemed like a different gun today. I have no idea why it was jamming so badly before. Maybe it just needed a few rounds through it first or something? Well, happy shooting…

It’s a new mag. And a fairly new gun. Maybe i will try different ammo or see if it breaks in.

yeah i have never had any of them jam like that but i can see why you would be upset. My steel Lip acts just like the factory 10 round, dont hink i have ever had it jam. Did you leave the mag completely full for a long time? i dont know if maybe the spring is no longer stron enough to force the round up fast enough for a high rate of fire.. I know tactical innovations makes a good mag but it is in the price range of $50.

Well mine stills jams with the steel lips. And when I mean jam, it is like every other round. I call it the jamomatic!

I use the butler creek hot lips, and the ram line elcheapo (not sure what its called) i have ran about 5 bricks through these mags and they do jam fairly frequently but i can but two jamming hot lips for the price of one steel lips. I have one steel lips that i will use for shooting varmints, for plinking i can handle it jamming every now and then. the ram line is the worse. On my other Charger video it jams three times on three mags…

What kind of magazine are you using. Mine jams like crazy with the Butler Creek or Ramline extended mag.

I thought they needed a soft landing area?
