Good video i’m picking up a Ruger 10/22 this week but i? was also interested in the Marlin bolt 22 mag rifle.

@shartne The reason I shot over the target a lot is because I had never shot the rifle before and the sights were not aligned,? they were shooting way high and to the left so once I figured that out I started hitting them, you can hear me say that in the video as I’m shooting and figuring out the point of impact. The scope won’t make the accuracy any better at that range, it will just bring the object closer. Once I get the sights adjusted I doubt I’ll miss much.

@econewpower yeah if you already have a 3×9 i would put it on there. I noticed you shot over your target a lot and Im sure you would? improve your accuracy by about 100 percent if you put that 3×9 on that 22 mag. DO IT!you know you want to. It you don’t I’m going to have to make a video response to this video with mine lol.

@shartne I do have an old 3×9 Tasco that will fit the bill here, I don’t plan? to take any really long shots that would require something more powerful and I really don’t want to spend more money when I have a scope just laying around. Thanks for posting and God bless you.

yeah i like 22 mags thats a great gun and the ammunition is not super high priced and it still pretty powerful gun. You had best get a scope for it and get a one more powerful than just a 6×9. I put a 13 power on mine. with 50 mm lens? so it would capture lots of light. I got some really tall scope mounts for mine to clear the bolt action.

@popcorncrow Thanks, I’m old school so I like the .22 Magnum with its heavier bullet, Hornady makes some nice .22 mags with the plastic tips that go at 2,200 fps. For 100-150yd shots the .22 heavier bullet will be less affected? by the wind. Thanks for your comments.

@popcorncrow I do have a pair of two legged shooting sticks in the back seat of the truck and like you…I also have the blown knee (recuperating now). I agree they help a lot and I really like them…for practicing I still like shooting offhand because I like to practice proper stance, breathing contol, etc so I can? shoot well offhand. Thanks for the comment and God bless you.

You should try some shooting sticks… I like the 3 legged ones but the 2 legged ones work well too. Helps with accuracy… the big game shooters use them, they work good and some? will double as a walking stick if your like me…and have blown out a knee ;-)

Nice rifle.. 22 mag is a good choice. The .17 HMR is faster…but…for some reason..I think the 22 mag is just better…heavier bullet. ? Also that Marlin’s barrel is a little heavier than other brands. Good Video
