I prefer this break-top design, but the FA is a very good revolver.
Jeff
Do you like this more then the freedom arms mini? thanks
@Gunblastdotcom Eh I don’t think I’ll be able to read it from here.
That was a Navy Arms “Founder’s Model” Schofield.
I have a feature coming out in the next Gun Digest Annual about modern break-top revolvers. It will be included. I am looking for another just like it.
Jeff
I have one on order, but it won’t be soon. Probably several months away.
Jeff
You can see good pictures of the extraction in the review on Gunblast.com
Jeff
I did a review on the Excel pistol, but have not played with the rifle yet.
Jeff
Wow I want one! What was that first revolver?
Wish I would’ve known about this gun before i bought the black widow 22 magnum… that break top does make a huge difference to me the other way just takes too many steps in my opinion
That’s the Kel-Tec RFB bullpup. We have a video about it here on YouTube, as well as an article in our ARCHIVE section.
That’s because that’s what it is: Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish”, plated by Pete Huttlinger, who was John Denver’s bandleader for many years and now fills that capacity for LeAnn Rimes as well as being one of Nashville’s most sought-after studio musicians.
MSRP for the limited-edition model is $499. If they go into regular production the cost will be less; they mention possibly $399 MSRP on their web site.
I have been interested in this revolver since I heard it was coming out, and I have been looking forward to this review since I got wind that you had one up for testing. Looks to be a great back-up for my CCW weapon. Much easier to reload then their normal design, not to say the normal design is not good.
Damn that’s a tiny gun
I like how ya just pull guns out of your pockets like change
I can just picture Jeff pulling out about 7 guns and you would have never guessed he had one
Jeff, what gun is that you’re holding at 0:10 ?
Thanks!
Nik.
Well, Jeff, that NAA revolver is really sweet.
BUT I’ve seen the pictures of that big, ol’ Schofield on your website….
And I think I fell in love.
It’s just gorgeous. The charcoal blue is amazing… I can see why you’re truly proud of it.
Any plans on making a review about it?
Jeff tell me you will be getting hands on the Keltec KSG soon?! This is a very exciting shotgun
nice i like it
Great info as always Jeff, we’re glad to have you. That guitar at the beginning reminds me of a countrified version of Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish”.
It’s about time!
Those little NAA .22s are a lot of fun but a pain in the ass to load.
very cool do u know the cost
I had been wondering how to get around the difficulty of loading those teeny revolvers, never thought about making a top break version.
It looks like I could lose that thing in my pocket… Really cool though. They should make more variations of the .22 Mag and .17 HMR. For a small and cheap round, they should certainly have more production or prototype firearms for the caliber. Speaking of which, Gun Blast should do some reviews on “Excel Arms” .22 rifles.. they seem pretty unknown but they look like they got some decent stuff?
I can see this being successful enough of a seller for them to make it a permanent addition to their lineup. I too am a fan of break top revolvers. The rimfire cartridges aren’t nearly powerful enough to make trouble for the break top design and the fact that it’s WAAAAAAY easier to load than the normal offerings from NAA makes this a VERY complimentary design for the company! Smart move, NAA
