Glock 23 - The Evil Plastic Gun

My first Glock and some personal history. It may very well be a great combat handgun but I can only speculate about that. I do not plan to use it to fight muppets, fraggles, Russian troops, terrorists, or people trying to steal my can of Pork & Beans. I only use it to shoot at targets and will probably do what I normally do, which is use it for a while, then sell or trade it off for something else that I want. So far I really like this firearm.

@gunfolksdotcom I love? how easy and cheap it is to change calibers in these guns.

I have the 23 with 9mm conversion. The barrel also works in my daily carry? G27. Love the lone wolf conversion.

@iNfx1 I also have an air rifle for plinking in the back yard. They are fun for? me and the kids to get out and shoot. Thanks for commenting man. It’s a shame that you can’t own real firearms there. A few people in power decide they don’t like them, then the media propaganda begins and the next thing you know, no guns. That is a real shame.

@MadBadVoodo I appreciate it. Glad to see you’re still around. Hope all is going well for ya.?

I remember hearing the same stories here in Scotland as a kid (I’m only 18, so this was late 90’s) but before? gun laws were imposed as strictly as they are in the UK now, there was ALOT of anti-gun propaganda and negative influence.

Admittedly as a kid I was a bit smitten with guns because I used to watch competitive target shooting videos on TV (those japanese ones, crazy skill).

I’m 18 now and I can’t own a pistol, let alone a rifle for any reason. I have an air rifle for plinking though.

@RobbieGTV I literally was taught as a kid that plastic guns were available for purchase,? they came loaded, could not be reloaded, & were designed to be fired till empty then thrown away. This is what intelligent adults taught me as a kid. They mixed up the Saturday night special bullcrap news stories with the Glock BS news stories and taught children about how evil the gun makers are. It’s scary to me that the news & movies can fool so many people so easily & most people won’t even question it.

@RobbieGTV Semi automatic sounds so exotic and menacing and since the cool looking guns happen to look just like the full auto military weapons, why not confuse the public? They’ll thank us (the media) for letting them know that they’re not safe in their homes and will probably be killed by NRA members very soon. I think it was Lethal Weapon that helped get “cop killer? bullet” line of crap gain so much momentum.

…gun angle? that was also mentioned in the Die Hard 2 movie as a “Glock 7″ which could defeat airport metal detectors. Funny how the media blows stuff out. If you told the average Joe there was functionally no difference between an SA AK47 and any SA hunting rifle they wouldn’t believe you. Anything that goes bang, is black, and exotic is media fodder

Remember it well. Of course I’m so old that I was well into adulthood when they came to? the US and had one of the first run of 17s in fact. There was also the whole “porcelain

@lhusby Thanks? man, I appreciate the comments and the thumbs up. So far I love this thing. Mine is a 3gen. I chose the 3gen over the 4gen mainly because of the grip stippling.

    :) Nice set man.
I? might be getting a G23 anytime soon. I am not sure if the 4gen is a good pick. It’s not time proven platform. Thanks for sharing.
