books are not the best way to test energy with a hollow point they are so dense you get expansion you would use full metal jacket for penetration. hollow points are for flesh you see the differance hunting
You’re still only talk around 2 inches further than the LR if you look at it.

The .22 Magnum was kind of a let down. I expected two more books.
Were using hollow points, plain copper jacket may go farther (less expansion, less drag) Just a guess there.

@Jeff3230 I used dynapoint at first in my rifle for varmint , small game. casing would stick in chamber after firing gushop gave me cci maxi mag +v 2200 ft/sec 322 ft-lbs i now use maxi mag 40 gr. 1875 ft/sec 312 ft-lbs cause it holds the energy out farther 22mag has 3x energy of 22 long in rifle at least.
