Comparing the similarities and differences between a 17hmr (17grain bullet) and a 22 magnum (40 grain bullet). Both are very similar and it is hard to choose between the two. I like both almost equally. The 17hmr. is faster and a little more accurate (smaller groupings) but the 22mag. seems to hit a little harder. From 100 yards and closer - I’d probably go with the 22 mag. Plus 100 yards - I’d go with the 17hmr. IMHO, You can’t go wrong with either gun for small game.

A few months back I did a video on using the shotgun as a primary weapon in a shtf scenario. Tonight I want to discuss the .22lr as a primary weapon. The round is versatile for hunting and acceptable for self and home defense. There are many tactical guns as well as hunting rifles made in the .22lr. The ammo is cheap and well within anyone’s budget. You also have the capability to stack your 22 rifle with a handgun or revolver. Regardless! the 22 is a must have gun for any prepper.

Nice little blast from the past. I’ve seen this gun on youtube a lot, not necesarrily the same model I have but Henry sells a lot of lever action rifle. I feel like I need to buy some lighting. Everything seems some dark in my bedroom.

here I am in Lima Peru at a gun range. A teammate from our basketball team took us for a day of fun. We got to shoot many hand guns including 9mm Glocks, shot guns, high powered rifles and also a machine gun that took 22’s. this was my 2nd time shooting guns. The last time I shot a gun was when i was maybe 10 or 11.

Not a review but kind of a little “story” about this purchase. Ever buy the “wrong” firearm? Well, I did. Not that there is anything wrong with the Charter Arms Pathfinder. It’s just not the revolver I thought I was ordering. Big duh! The be red mark on my forehead is from slapping myself. I had been looking for an affordable 22lr revolver to use with students when teaching basic pistol courses as an NRA Instructor. When it became available I jumped on this one and came to find out it’s a 22 Magnum revolver. I did catch it before it shipped but decided, hey, what the heck. I don’t have a 22 Magnum so l figured I would go with it. It’s a sturdy, revolver that gets the job done. With a 5″ barrel, it shoots better than I do as you’ll see in this video. Does it have the smooth action and fit and finish of a S&W? Nope! But it seems to be a great pistol to train with and maybe do some varmint venting with.
