The “Crickett” .22 single shot rifle is an American classic. The lightweight and affordable Crickett combines excellent build quality, fast handling, a good trigger, a simple battery of arms, excellent peep sights, a good looking and functional stock, and compact size that fits kids perfectly. It Is the perfect training rifle to teach your small shooters responsible and safe gun handling, trigger and sight picture control, and ammunition conservation… all while having fun. Produced by the Keystone Sporting Arms Company in Milton, PA, the gun is backed by a company that has shown superior customer service with its customers. The diminutive Crickett rifle comes in a wide variety stocks, finishes, and even is offered in a full sized adult version, the Model 300 (all models and styles subject to change of course). Shown in the video is the Model 252 Crickett rifle and it has served my family well (”Chipmunk” branded .22 rifles are also very similar). These guns make memorable gifts items for your family members and are affordable heirloom items. Accuracy, durability, and ease of use are all superb. Surprisingly, this is a fun gun to shoot and costs next to nothing to do so. Bolt actuation adds to the fun and simple plunger bolt is effective. There are other single shot rifle options but the Crickett rifle is my favorite and has my highest recommendation. . /////////////Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 10 of 10

I first learned to shoot with an? .22 air rifle, because gun laws are really strict in my country. However, I shot with a .22 LR rifle and a Colt .45 auto when I lived in the US.

I have an old very rare Rouge Rifle Company .22 cal single shot, same thing as the cricket because the cricket copied it exactly. The Rouge Rifle Company was formed by two brothers. One of them died, so the one that survived went off to make the cricket. The name of the rifle I have is called the “Chipmunk”. It? was my first gun.

I like bolt action more its just the satisfaction of reloading? a gun manualy and sliding the bolt into place. idk why other than that

@themattlyone i say from personal experience is get? her a bb gun, and if she wants to, that next Christmas get her a 22, and if you want to also teacher her how to shoot a shotgun, think about getting a rossi 22LR/410 combo(it has separate detachable barrels)

  24. 24 themattlyone said at 12:44 pm on January 20th, 2012:

I have a dau that will be 8 soon. She has not shot a gun yet. You think it would be better to start with a bb gun? or just start with one of these 22 cricket rifles.
    Great Video as usual
