I tagged a cat on a berm in iraq at about 100 meters with a 22lr suppressor aquilla ammo and I was using the anpvs-14 Omni 5 tube and sighting with the NV mode on a 552revf… crazy thing is i walked over the berm and the car took another 5 rounds before i pressed the can into the back of its head. Kinda felt sorry for that guy. I stopped taking target practice on animals after that. But yeah thats about the smallest thing i could see reasonably well with the NVD.

I’m not selling the scope… It was just information. The night vision is cool, but very expensive and hard to find an application for.

For a .22.. resolution will limit range on small game which is the biggest area of .22lr use.

It’s just a cheap 3-9×40 Chinese with a BDC for 55 grain 5.56 and illumination.

The scope has a small field and crap glass, but otherwise is a decent optic for the gun. The BDC can be used for holdover.

The problem with a gun of this size is that you don’t want the optic to eclipse the gun itself, and with 60grain ammo’s anything but flat ballistic arc, you want something that affords some refference points and means of compensation, So… Options are limited.

I wanted the camera to follow the action downrange to the bullet trap so people knew what he was shooting at. No worries- buy a silencer- make all the video you want ; )
