I have just found out that a thumbhole stock is now available for this gun so expect a review of that soon - depending on price. This is the gun I use for the majority of my rabbit and rat shooting and whilst nowhere near as cheap as using a .22, I much prefer the .17HMR as the extra ‘whack’ from the supersonic ballistic tip rounds make for a more humane job. Bought from South Yorkshire Shooting Supplies: www.rimfiremagic.co.uk
@pondguru? or one of the smaller .22 centre fires or a .20 centre fire
You should sit out one night with a .22 air rifle that will take care of? the little b*****d
Thanks it would mean a lot. can’t wait for winter? shooting !!!!!!
Will do? once the nights cut in a bit. It is ages since I’ve been out lamping so I do want to get a lamping video. Problem is it is difficult to film when you shoot alone, but I’ll try, man.
The largest I have shot is? foxes since I only shoot vermin.
I know this might be to much to ask or to hard to do but could u pos get a vid of u lamping? foxs with the attachable light thanks
Whats the biggest game u? can shoot with it I am in France in a liitle holiday home (it more like a burn with 2 beds)
.17hMR is? it, man.
Good review. Could u please recommend a calibre for shooting rabbits and foxes at 150 yards but also fine? for pigeon and squirrel shot range in trees and the like
Unfortunately I can’t find a 10 shot? mag available for the 1517 but if you hear otherwise, let me know, man.
I have ordered a thumbhole stock for the .17 so that should be sweet when I fit that.
Review to follow.
Excellent review mate, I really enjoyed it. I have the .22 version with the thumbhole stock and its a lovely piece of kit.. Im thinking about trying to get a variation on my ticket to buy a .17 too so its good to see that? the .17 performs well. The 22 version comes with a 10 shot mag as standard is it not possible to get one for the .17?
Checked your channel, man and left? comments there.
Sweet.
Quality video mate! Check my hw60 j out in my video list.. It has a short barrel like your, two stage trigger which is great and custom boyds stock which looks amazing and is perfectly balanced! Also it’s got a wildcat whisper moderator which is a reflex design making it? shorter still.. Great cal 17 hmr though..
Quality video mate! Nice rifle also.. You should check my 17 hmr out on my video list it’s a hw60 j with a short barrel like your,2stage trigger and custom boyds stock..? Got a wildcat whisper on it and it’s perfectly balanced… Great calibre the 17hmr I love mine
I’ve got? a thumbhole stock ordered for it so that should complete it.
that? looks lile a fine rifle
That looks some nice piece of equipment?
I look down the valley toward the town (about 15 miles away) and back in the day there was always plumes of black smoke coming from? all the burnt out cars in the distance.
Seems to have clamed down alot in the last 10 years - maybe with immobilisers, better alarms etc.
@pondguru hunting for metal? do what most people do in gateshead - head towards? bensham and steal a car lol
The Germans made some awesome guns during WWII too, they just couldn’t produce enough ammo. If they hadn’t had the supply problems, we’d all be speaking German now.
If they’d won, the World? would be a bit more efficient too - and more sparsley populated.
lol
Yeah, I’m busy making a? playlist of my metal detecting videos too.
lol
That gun is exactly the same as my dads little 22 but he’s got? a 5 mag
my dad has an Anschutz? 22 rim fire as well as his Tika T3 22250 he loves them both.
I think that Germans are the best at making guns, Because i have an air rifle which is a HW 97 (wiehrauch)
fish? salesman, pond guru and rifleman - you surely are a jack of all trades lol
It still is worth a go. The worst thing that can happen is that the application is refused and your cheque gets sent back.
Still? worth a go.
