Anschutz 1517 .17 HMR Rifle Review

Posted: December 9th, 2011 | Author: zackpow | Filed under: 22 Magnum Rifles | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |

Review of my Anschutz 1517 rifle. I have just found out that a thumbhole stock is now available for this gun so expect a review of that soon - depending on price. This is the gun I use for the majority of my rabbit and rat shooting and whilst nowhere near as cheap as using a .22, I much prefer the .17HMR as the extra ‘whack’ from the supersonic ballistic tip rounds make for a more humane job. Unfortunately I can’t find a 10 shot? mag available for the 1517 but if you hear otherwise, let me know, man.
I have ordered a thumbhole stock for the .17 so that should be sweet when I fit that.
    Review to follow.

Excellent review mate, I really enjoyed it. I have the .22 version with the thumbhole stock and its a lovely piece of kit.. Im thinking about trying to get a variation on my ticket to buy a .17 too so its good to see that? the .17 performs well. The 22 version comes with a 10 shot mag as standard is it not possible to get one for the .17?

Quality video mate! Check my hw60 j out in my video list.. It has a short barrel like your, two stage trigger which is great and custom boyds stock which looks amazing and is perfectly balanced! Also it’s got a wildcat whisper moderator which is a reflex design making it? shorter still.. Great cal 17 hmr though..

I look down the valley toward the town (about 15 miles away) and back in the day there was always plumes of black smoke coming from? all the burnt out cars in the distance.
Seems to have clamed down alot in the last 10 years - maybe with immobilisers, better alarms etc.

The Germans made some awesome guns during WWII too, they just couldn’t produce enough ammo. If they hadn’t had the supply problems, we’d all be speaking German now.
If they’d won, the World? would be a bit more efficient too - and more sparsley populated.
    lol

Yeah, I’m busy making a? playlist of my metal detecting videos too.
    lol

my dad has an Anschutz? 22 rim fire as well as his Tika T3 22250 he loves them both.
I think that Germans are the best at making guns, Because i have an air rifle which is a HW 97 (wiehrauch)

It still is worth a go. The worst thing that can happen is that the application is refused and your cheque gets sent back.
    Still? worth a go.
