i have a smith and wessom m&p 40c in .40 caliber, and if you look on the magazine, is says .40s&w and it also says 357 sig, would 357sig ammo work in the pistol?

you can take a fired 22 LR case, and insert it bullet-end into a fired 22 WMR case. it’s smaller in diameter by just a tiny bit, just enough to fit inside. so the two cartridges are not interchangeable, even though they both fire bullets .22 inches wide.

yup, we get that all the time too.. if you look you can see I brought along the .357 sig and .357 mag to do that compare too, but we didn’t have the guns, so I decided to wait

With respect to the .22 Mag / LR pistol you used, is that a NAA? Have you shot both cylinders? Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I agree w/loveruleshate. when I Googled (.223 specs) all the limks including Wikipedia. say that 223’s use a 224 bullet. Even reload sites!

Thank you for the quick reply adamslurch71, but 4 sites that provide technical specs on 223 all rounds, state that 223s use 224 bullets? l.e. The .223 Remington is a sporting cartridge with almost the same external dimensions as the 5.56×45mm NATO military cartridge. The name is pronounced either two-two-three or two-twenty-three. It is loaded with a 0.224-inch (5.7 mm) diameter,

Do you honestly thing a .223 will fit correstly in a .224 chamber? Wrong size dont even try.

Q: I own an 8-round Raging Hornet revolver with a 10″ bull barrel that uses .224 Hornet V-Max rounds. My problem is that .224H ammo is hard to find and expensive. Would it be possible to use .223 at least for practice?

how about in power comparisons between the .38 special vs. the 380, Platforms being an LCP and s snubnose?

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch.

the difference is a 5.56 is more powerful. I’m not sure if they use more powder, or different powder all together. And the NATO casing might be harder. But still, you can get some pretty hot civilian rounds.

agreed, it should be illegal to restrict handguns. Here in NY I can’t even buy one period without a pistol permit.

@BuffaloWarrior7 - Alabama only runs background checks on firearm purchases. You need a permit to conceal a pistol not have or own a pistol. People go to jail and get fined all the time for concealing weapons without a permit. If you get pulled over you better lay the pistol in the rear floorboard in sight of the officer (before he sees you) I bought my first pistol without a permit.

Don’t make a mistake and damage your gun or worse ,hurt yourselves. Be 100% sure you use the correct ammunition for the gun your using and to new gun owners it can be a little confusing! Maybe it would have been better to point out that most guns have stamped right on them the ammo that it is meant to fire and never to attempt to use any other ammo even if it does fit into the gun! Good video! I liked that little .22 that could use either round.

i agree, open carry without a permit is what it should be everywhere.

  20. 20 Mauhadeeb28 said at 3:08 am on December 11th, 2010:

I have already made an appointment at Bill Jacksons to take a gun safety course which is necessary for me to take the concealed carry course in Florida. I am just anxious. I believe those courses will inform me of what those laws are. I hope, for the money I am paying….

On that note, doesn’t it seem like a breach of the second amendment that I need a permit to carry a gun? Seems like it was specific that the right to carry a firearm is a right upon inception. Just curious of what you think.

i think the best way to find out your local gun laws would be to either talk to a gun store owner in your area, or you could ask about it at the police station.

no .357 sig is shorten down to fit in a pistol, the ammo looks like a .40 cal

    @GunWebsites

I hope I am not asking too much,
I have recently become very interested in owning a gun. Do you have any information or websites I may go to that would cliff note the gun laws of Florida: specifically Pinellas County?
Anything will help. I want to secure a gun before that right is stolen from me by this controlling government we have.

    Thank you,
    Mauhadeeb28
