Which do i prefer the .22LR or The Amazing. 17HMR. I answer many questions and hopefully will help you guys along the way. The rifles featured in this video are a SAVAGE 93R .17HMR and a RUGER SR22lr. The ruger has a simple red dot scope on it not a real scope like on the savage but it still can get a pretty good group going
You cant really compair 17HMR to .22LR. You should compair 17HMR to 22Mag and 17Mach2 to 22LR
I shoot several Ruger 10/22lr and there are after market barrels available for them, as are the .17hmr barrels available for the 10/22MAG..
This makes both available in semi auto with high cap mags..
yes. basicly the 22lr reduced to .17
@locnott2 no but is it a smaller cartridge?
Have you had any experience with the .17HM2 ??
127 ft = 42.3333333333333 yds
@daywalker627 wow that sounds awesome
Alexander Arms now has available on their website for sale a 17 HMR Ar-15 Upper.. Price is a bit over 700.00 US dollars…..
@Mr45Bullitt Myself and jules are very lucky indeed my friend
42.3 yards Garry.Very good my friend. I really like your new place shooting off the porch.I’m jealous. That 17 is dead on that’s for sure.Thanks.
@kingfisher44 It stands for HORNADY MAGNUM RIMFIRE shoomybach
nice stuff , what does hmr stand for? the place is looking nice too you will have plenty of free fuel with all those trees around but dont cut to many down sounds like you need the wind break . plaid cymru
@155Millimeter will do, i need help with computer stuff still not really clever on it.
@155Millimeter i love the 17HMR pity you just dont live around the corner you could come over and pop some rounds off. So i would prefer a semi auto but a bolt is fine also another downside for the 17hmr is that it is very hard to silence The bullet is moving best part of 3000FPS, but its so much fun and julie enjoys shooting this as it has so little recoil. Not as cheap to shoot as 22 bulk ammo but cheap to shoot as a rifle any where between $10 up for 50 rnds.
You should call this video
“.17 HMR Vs. .22 LR”
If you name it that, this video will go viral, good video my friend!
Hey! WOW! GT, I think I am starting to like the .17 HMR over the .22 LR after this video, and seeing your group, I never fired a .17 HMR, but have fired plenty of .22 LR, but I tell you man, you put dang good groups with both of those rifles, so their perormance must be very close, with you behind the rifles shooting both! Thanks! I been looking forward to this one!
Alright! This is one I have been waiting for!
@fatbob47 sorry hadn’t heard of the recall. my local bass pro had 1 on the shelf last time i was there. i have 1 in 22mag that i really like. it has the best trigger i’ve ever seen on a semi auto. the magazine is the weak link in an otherwise fine weapon.
@glock10mm interesting
@956Mas now you know
@TheRedn3ckChannel lol
@bisquik3006 i better clear more trees down then!
Nice vid , I’m new to firearms so I had no idea what .17hmr was.
@GT03235 i here you love my savage its a tack driver but have been looking at a 10/22.
.22 all day bro….when iam talking about a little round i want availability” zombies” price/quantitiy…..and mags…action….id rather fire 5 shots on target than drive a tac….the .17 fails the SHTF test
